Tell us about Persys and Co

We are on a mission to take the fuss out of making your morning smoothie - we’ve all been there, fridge full of fruit and veg on a Monday with all the right intentions to make a smoothie each morning but by Thursday you have a wilted celery in the back shelf and you resort to buying a muffin with a coffee on your way to work.

We wanted to create a shortcut for when life gets in the way of eating right, We give you all the real tasty stuff and save you the mucking around. We source the best fruit and veg from Aussie growers, then wash it, cut it, freeze it, pack it and deliver to your doorstep ready for the blender. Think of us like the milkman – but with smoothies and extra banter.

There’s more behind it though, supporting our Australian agriculture and minimising waste off our farms is what gets us up in the morning. Most people may not know but majority of frozen fruit and veg is imported offshore. Here in Australia, we are wasting 40% of what we grow and with the abundance of amazing produce its important we eat what’s around us.

What do you love about movement?

I can’t start my day without moving, it sets me up for the day. It’s something that has been ingrained in me as a child and a gift from my parents that I will be forever thankful for. I personally love the mental strength that movement gives you. I have learnt more about myself through physical challenges and seeing how far I can push myself than anything else.

What makes you smile?

I love the ocean, nothing better than an early morning swim or a wine on the deck at the surf club with my friends and family. I also love the feeling of taking off on a plane somewhere new!

What advice do you have for other women to love the skin they are in?

Like most girls, I have spent my twenties picking at my body and wishing it was something else. My advice is to not over analyse it all too much and instead find ways to appreciate your body. In the past few years I’ve done some pretty crazy physical challenges like the New York Marathon and crossing the line made me realise how lucky I was and how much I loved my body.

Phoebe has kindly shared a code for our BPM babes to receive 20% off their smoothie orders until the end of June with the code “BPMBABES” (we also heard whispers there might be a soup range coming for winter too… we have our fingers crossed so keep an eye out for that too!)
