Barre, the BPM way
Barre is an absolute must within our BPM workout series. This low impact, high intensity, dance inspired workout will get your heart rate (and your peach) lifted.
Barre at BPM utilises the ballet barre for all your resistance exercises and technique. It encourages you to find the long lines of dance without asking too much of your coordination. Challenging for the mind and body the goal is to not only build strength but flexibility in your muscles. BPM Barre has a large focus on breath and balance which helps with posture, alignment and injury prevention.
Come and try it out. We'll have you pulsing and plie-ing your way to a strong, beautiful bod.
The Benefits of Barre
Barre is a full-body workout. It's like dance and yoga mixed together, with a little bit of Pilates thrown in. It is the perfect way to get a full-body workout that's low-impact and high intensity. You don't have to be a dancer to reap the benefits of barre—in fact, you don't even need to know how to dance!
Barre uses body weight and small movements to build strength and flexibility throughout your entire body. You'll use the ballet barre as a guidepost and anchor. This helps you learn to isolate muscles so you can become more efficient at using them while working out. It is low impact so it won't wear out your joints like other workouts. It's also great for toning muscles and building endurance.
Barre is great for beginners because it helps you learn the proper form with each movement. It also works wonders for more advanced exercisers who are looking for a new challenge.
Whether you're looking for a new way to spice up your workout or trying to get strong and flexible, barre can help.
