Meet Rach - recent Pilates convert, restauranteur, wedding planner, graphic designer and all round foodie. She’s the boss lady behind Rogue Bistro (who else still dreams about that brunch!?) and the magic maker for one of Brisbane’s best wedding venues, The Refinery.

Why did you start your business?

My husband and I are the dream team - some call us crazy for working and living together 24/7 but IYKYK! Both of our businesses were born from a desire to create amazing venues that we would want to go to ourselves. So much so, you’ll find what’s on the menu is often what we personally love to eat! We feel we’ve created a really special dining experience at Rogue and we hope guests feel the same way when they visit.

Similarly, when we planned our wedding almost 6 years ago, we struggled to find a venue in Brisbane that we loved that ticked all the boxes, particularly one that delivers good food. We felt it was time to raise the industry standard and decided to create the venue of our dreams, The Refinery.

What do you love about movement?

Being able to challenge my body, gain strength and feel confident.

What makes you smile?

A good pastry, bubble tea and Aje’s fortnightly drops! 🙊

What advice do you have for other women to love the skin they are in?

Be the best version of yourself, whatever that looks like for you.
