Meet Nikki (she/her), BPM Member, Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and recently…Boss Babe business owner of Take Space - supporting children, young people and families!

Read on to learn more about this BPM Babe…

Why did you become an accredited mental health Social Worker?

It's hard to discern if I was a social worker because of who I am or because of getting the degree! I have always cared immensely for people, social justice and a strong affinity for connection and holding space for people around me to explore their emotions and experience.

What do you love about movement?

I love that movement is a way to reconnect with your body. 'Motion is the Lotion' moving your body, feeling connected with how it feels, moves and works... these have beautiful flow on effects for our beings and how confident and capable we feel regardless of size and ability.

What makes you smile?

Connection! Whether that's with friends friends and family, moving my bod by hiking through nature or any form of pilates... loving being (sort of) able to do the splits now!

What advice do you have for other women to love the skin they are in?

To look at diet culture and the ways in which it infiltrates society and our brains... knowing more about how this can impact the relationship you have with your own body can allow for a greater appreciation of how incredible your body is in what it can DO for you (regardless of shape or size or disability).... rather than what it looks like (It looks pretty great too!)
